A couple of weeks ago we posted a Sunday Funny about dumb laws. It should be only fair to also write about dumb lawsuits and show that we can all be as silly as our legislators.
A Japanese man sued the organizers of the Nagano Winter Olympics for mental anguish because heavy traffic caused him to miss the events he had a ticket to.
A German bank robber, being deaf, never heard the alarm, sued the bank he tried to rob for exploiting his disability.
A surfer sued another for taking his wave. Alas, no-one was quite able to put a price on the anguish and despair a surfer feels when watching another ride that one wave that was meant for him.
Even beer companies have been sued for putting scantily clad models in their commercials … by beer drinkers, when scantily clad hotties did not flock to them after they imbibed the advertised beverage.
That would all sound silly even to Congress…. Right?
